Hey, I’m Elise.

You deserve support that understands where you've been.

I provide coaching support worldwide for people recovering from religious trauma, cult involvement, high-control systems, and coercive control.

Whether you're questioning, leaving, or rebuilding, you're not alone in this.

Free Introductory Call

Finding the right support can feel overwhelming, especially when you’ve been hurt in places that were meant to be safe. If you're curious about working together, you're welcome to book a free 15-minute discovery call.

It's a gentle, no-pressure space to ask questions and explore whether this coaching space feels like the right fit for you.

You’ve lived under fear, shame, and silence long enough.

I am a mental health practitioner working on Wurundjeri land in Victoria.

I'm deeply passionate about supporting people who have experienced religious trauma and cultic systems, drawing from both personal and professional insights.

My own journey through the tangled web of religious trauma means that I have a strong understanding of the challenges, fears, pain, and complexities involved.

As a Mental Health Practitioner and Certified Coach, my work is grounded in lived experience, professional training, and a passion for creating safe and empathetic spaces for people to navigate the complexities of their experiences and work towards recovery, growth, and empowerment.

I believe that you deserve to reclaim your sense of self after experiencing religious trauma or cult involvement.

I'm also committed to education and advocacy surrounding high-control systems and coercive control. I believe that by raising awareness and fostering understanding, we can empower people to recognise the difference between supportive systems and those that are positioned to do great harm.

All of my work is built on the foundation that you are already good, whole, and worthy.

Religious Trauma Fieldnotes

Substack

Religious Trauma Fieldnotes is where I combine lived experience, professional insight, and a whole lot of honesty.

You’ll find stories from my time within high-control Pentecostal Christianity, insights from my work as a Certified Coach, where I have supported clients from a variety of high-control religions, systems, cults, and relationships, and practical tools to support recovery.

This Substack is educational and deeply human. Because when it comes to religious trauma, we need both the language to understand what happened and the support to recover from it.
